Review

Thank you to the author for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely loved Rhane and Ian’s story! It was heart- warming, passionate, and a crazy roller coaster, but I enjoyed every minute. As told in the synopsis, Rhane  (lead singer of Fate’s Crazy) loses the love of her life in a tragic accident. An accident that cost her her voice, Rhane is left heart broken and lost. Her heart starts to beat again the moment she meets Ian Callahan. However, he has a past too, and little does she know, he may be just as broken, if not more than she is.

“He awakens feelings inside of me that I’d honestly thought I would never feel again”

Ian. Sweet Ian. The moment I met this character,  I was swoon-ing. Yes. I just said that. The amazing attraction between Rhane and Ian is undeniable. Ian gave me goosebumps. His way with words is indescribable.  Yes, beyond words. The way he called her Sunshine was just a small portion of what makes him amazing. The author did a great job at creating passionate tension between Ian and Rhane.

"It's okay Sunshine, I've got you," he murmurs. "Go on and cry like nobody's watching. I'll be your rock."

Although broken, Rhane is a no-nonsense girl, which I loved the most about her. The rollercoaster of their ups and downs had me on the edge throughout the story. Although their love was undeniable, secrets and pasts continued to keep them apart. My heart went out to both Rhane and Ian.  What I loved about this story was beneath the hurt, both characters were able to surface and find love. Both of them have loved and lost, in different ways, but it hurt all the same.

I enjoyed the secondary characters, T and Gwen, as well. The author was great at character development, where it made it difficult to put the story down.  This was not your typical NA storyline. It was different, in the best way possible. It was a refreshing read. I hope there is more Rhane and Ian in the future. I look forward to more of this author’s work.
