Review

I was given an ARC copy of this book courtesy of the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Seductive Shadows was not your average erotic story. It was dark, mysterious, and heartbreaking. Charlie has been through a lot of heartbreak in her life. She grew up with an abusive mother. And lost the only person in the world that’s ever truly loved her. I enjoyed the flashbacks in this story. It allowed me as a reader to truly connect to Charlie’s character.

Charlie best expresses herself through her dark art projects and sex. Sexuality is a big part of this book, as she uses it to deal with her feelings. When Charlie is offered an opportunity that gives her security and release for her sexuality, she takes it. She has no intention to fall for anyone. She does not connect during sex. And she would like to keep it that way. Until she meets blue eyed Cameron in her art class. Cameron made Charlie question and challenge herself, like no one else could.  I enjoyed watching (or reading) them fall for each other. Not too many books show that, and I think the author did a great job at this.

Just when I thought, I was going to predict what would happen, the author throws in a huge surprise. I wasn’t expecting what happened next, to happen at all! This story is a good read for those looking for a mysterious erotic story.
